Dominus filly wins $100,000 Soiree S.

July 8, 2017

P Boo, a 3-year-old Dominus filly, closed stoutly in the final quarter-mile of the $100,000 Louisiana Legends Soiree S. to win the one mile contest by a length for her first stakes win (VIDEO).

P Boo is one of Dominus’ 19 winners from just 29 starters, giving him one of the highest winning percentages from starters for any Second-Crop Sire of 2017.

The Soiree field broke in a line, and P Boo, in post 1, was right with the leaders, but was pinched back somewhat and found herself in fifth along the rail in the middle of the backstretch. Still well off the pace with two furlongs to go, P Boo was forced to go very wide in the stretch. She eventually wore down Efforting inside the final sixteenth to secure her first added-money score.

P Boo is trained by Kirk Harris, also her co-owner, and has now earned $117,650. The winner was bred by Spendthrift Farm.
