Fasig-Tipton July yields strong results for Cinco Charlie

Cinco Charlie’s first yearlings at Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton July Sale produced solid returns for the Spendthrift stallion, with his two lots to sell bringing $75,000, 15 times his bred-on stud fee.

First through the ring was hip No. 278, a filly consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent, and purchased by noted buyer Cary Frommer. The filly’s dam, the Mineshaft mare Lantern, has already produced six winners from as many starters.

A few minutes later hip No. 289, a colt offered by Baccari Bloodstock, agent, went to New Beginnings LLC. The colt’s dam Lookin’ Foxy is a half-sister to multiple graded winner Humoristic.
