Flat Out colt debuts a winner at Aqueduct

November 4, 2017

I Love Jaxson won his first lifetime start by a length at Aqueduct on Saturday to give first-crop sire Flat Out his 13th winner this year, which ranks fifth among all freshman sires standing in North America. His 47% winners from starters is also the highest among all top-10 first-crop sires.

I Love Jaxson found himself in third a few lengths off the lead for the backstretch run, then actually lost some ground on the turn before rallying in upper stretch to get the lead with about a furlong to run. He comfortably held off Lutheran Rags to secure the win in 1:11.73 for the six furlongs (VIDEO).

The winner is owned by Robert Terrill, Sr. and was bred by Saratoga Glen Farm, LLC. I Love Jaxson’s dam Procellous is a half-sister to two-time Grade 1 winner Exogenous.
