Flat Out filly rallies for first stakes win

November 25, 2018

Dicey’s game stretch run carried the 2-year-old Flat Out filly to her first stakes win in the $75,000 Slide Show S. at Remington Park [WATCH RACE].

The one-mile Slide Show was Dicey’s first start around two turns. Tucked in behind horses for the first five furlongs, the dark bay went four-wide to challenge the heavy favorite She’s Shiney for the lead in upper stretch. Dicey was full of run for the final furlong, and went on to win by about a length while drawing away late.

Bred by the John James Revocable Trust and owned by Patrick Swan and Jay Lewis, Dicey is now 2-0-1 in five starts and has earned $78,108. She is the first registered foal out of Broken Blues.

Dicey is one of Flat Out’s 10 stakes horses this term. He ranks in the top 10 on the Second-Crop Sire list by black type horses, winners and progeny earnings.
