Flat Out Speed streaks to first stakes win

Flat Out Speed is now 2-for-2 following the filly’s 3 ¼-length victory in the July 26 Prairie Gold Lassie S. at Prairie Meadows (VIDEO).
The 2-year-old Flat Out filly broke her maiden on debut over the same surface on June 14 and has now banked $79,529 for owner/breeder Poindexter Thoroughbreds LLC.
Flat Out wrapped up 2018 as the second-ranked Second-Crop sire by winners with 76 and leads the Third-Crop list this year with 65 to date.
Flat Out Speed was much the best in Friday night’s six-furlong contest. After getting pressed by Kahului through the first half-mile, she drew away easily in the stretch to win in hand.
The winner is the first foal out of the unraced Street Sense mare Blue Gallina.
