Free Drop Maddy racks up fourth career stakes win

Free Drop Maddy added the $75,000 Buttercup’s Song S. Saturday at Fair Grounds to her growing stakes resume, which now features four added money event victories (WATCH RACE).

The 3-year-old daughter of Free Drop Billy has three wins, all in stakes, in her last four starts. The bay filly is from her sire’s first crop of runners.

Free Drop Maddy led all the way in Saturday’s one-mile race for 3-year-old fillies. She took the lead right away and was able to set a solid pace throughout. She got a mild challenge from Olivia G at the top of the homestretch, but easily shook her off to win by 2 ¼-lengths.

Owned by Mansfield Racing, Free Drop Maddy is 4-1-2 in eight starts and has earned $272,800. She was bred by Clear Creek Stud.
