That’s Right sprinted clear of the field in upper stretch on his way to a 1 ½-length score in the $300,000 Turf Monster S. (G3) on Saturday afternoon at Parx.

The victory marked the first graded stakes score for the 3-year-old Goldencents colt, who had won the July 17 My Frenchman S. at Monmouth Park in his black type debut.

Goldencents currently ranks second on the 2022 Fifth-Crop sire list with $5.8 million in earnings and 14 black type horses, and is ranked first by winners with 121.

That’s Right and Uncle Ernie came away for the lead together, with That’s Right getting in front in the first furlong. He pulled clear around the turn and opened up by as much as three lengths before coming under the wire without a serious challenge.

The final time was :57.66 for the five furlongs on the firm turf.

The winner is owned by James Shannon Jr. and trained by Michael Moore, both of whom had never won a graded race as well. That’s Right was bred by Edward Seltzer and is from the family of Grade 1 winner Geri and Grade 2 winner A. P. Arrow.
