Goldencents filly leads start to finish in stakes debut

Unsolved Mystery earned her first stakes win on March 11 with a front-running score in the $75,000 Arizona Oaks at Turf Paradise (WATCH RACE).
The 3-year-old Goldencents filly was coming off a 8 ½-length maiden win at Santa Anita Park in February, and proved that race wasn’t a fluke with a hard-fought win on Friday. She was pressed early on by Madiha, then for the second half of the race by Chesterette. Neither filly got within a half-length of the winner at any point, with that being the final margin on the wire.
Unsolved Mystery is owned by California Racing Partners, Ciaglia Racing LLC and Seacoast Racing LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Joanne R Mummert.
Goldencents has been a leading sire of his generation each year, and he is currently leading the Fifth-Crop Sire list with seven black-type horses and 30 winners to date.
