Goldencents joined his sire Into Mischief as champion sires in North America in 2019. The up-and-coming Spendthrift stallion was ranked the No. 1 Second-Crop sire by progeny earnings, as well as by winners, wins and graded stakes winners.

His $5,641,194 in earnings made him one of only 8 sophomore sires ever to exceed $5.5 million, joining an illustrious list that includes Uncle Mo, Scat Daddy, Hard Spun, Medaglia d’Oro, Street Cry (Ire) and Giant’s Causeway.

Goldencents was also the only sophomore sire with progeny earnings over $5 million in 2019. His top runners included $1 million Louisiana Derby (G2) winner By My Standards and four-time graded stakes winner Mr. Money, who banked $1.1 million during the year.

Goldencents was as popular as ever in the breeding shed last year, covering 239 mares, ranking him in the top five of all North American stallions, and his biggest book in his first five years at stud. He will stand the 2020 season for $25,000, live foal as the first champion sire by Into Mischief.
