Goldencents’ first-timers continue torrid win streak

July 3, 2018

Veritas became the latest winner on July 3 for leading First-Crop Sire Goldencents when the bay colt sped to a front-running, 4 1/4-length win at Indiana Downs in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race on the main track.

Goldencents already has a total of six winners, including four in the last 10 days, to lead all freshman sires this year.

Veritas is trained by Laura Wohlers for James McIngvale and was bred in Kentucky by Dan Davidson. Veritas’ dam, the Tiznow mare Tiz the Mambo, is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Manbala.
