Goldencents firster prevails in Churchill MdSpWt

Leading Second-Crop sire Goldencents added a trio of maiden winners to his total over the weekend, topped by Mailman Money’s gallant victory in a $95,000 Churchill Downs maiden special weight race on Nov. 30.

The 2-year-old colt, who was making his debut, took the lead with a quarter mile to run, then dug in gamely in deep stretch to hold off Digital by three-quarters of a length.

The winner, who was a $150,000 purchase at the OBS 2-year-old April sale, is owned by Allied Racing Stable. He was bred in Kentucky by TK Stables.
