Gormley’s Hip No. 608 was the last 2-year-old to go through the ring during Wednesday’s OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds, and consignor Grassroots Training & Sales LLC was rewarded with a winning bid of $200,000 from trainer Peter Miller.

The dark bay colt is out of Changing Vista, also the dam of stakes winner Emily’s Lollipop. Her second dam Meadow Vista is also the granddam of Jimmy Creed’s stakes winner Meadow Dance, as well as Grade 2 winner Gold Medal Dancer.

Gormley, a multiple Grade 1-winning son of Malibu Moon, stands for $5,000 S&N. His first runners are just now appearing on the racetrack, with 2-year-olds in maiden special weights both Thursday and Friday at Keeneland.

Gormley’s 2-year-old sales average this auction season is nearly 19 times his stud fee. He has five lots remaining in the final two days of the OBS sale.
