Gormley filly comes on late for MdSpWt victory

Moody Woman overtook Timeisgolden in the final sixteenth to become the 11^th winner for top-10 First Crop sire Gormley, winning by a half-length in the 6 ½-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies.

The bay filly was second the entire trip before taking the lead late, with three different fillies in the top spot at some point in the race.

Moody Woman is owned by the partnership of John Fanelli, LC Racing LLC, Longball Stables LLC and Cash Is King LLC. She was bred in Kentucky by Double Eagle Thoroughbreds and hails from the family of champion 3-year-old filly Sacahuista.

Gormley ranks in the top-10 on the First-Crop list by both stakes horses and winners, and is second by graded stakes horses, with three, topped by Saratoga Special S. (G2) winner High Oak.
