Im Evin Im Leavin changes tactics to win $100K Century Oaks

August 18, 2019

Can the Man’s 3-year-old filly Im Evin Im Leavin tallied her second career stakes win in Saturday’s $100,000 Century Casino Oaks at Century Mile Racetrack, coming from just off the pace to win by two lengths in the 1 1/8-mile affair.

Though she’s usually on the lead early in her races, the dark bay sat just off the pace before making a three-wide move for the front, easily passing favored Summerland to win going away.

The winner, who took the Chariot Chaser H. over the same track in June, is now 5-3-2 in 10 starts and has earned $125,707 for Wayne Bakke, Nathan Hoines and Jodee Hoovestal. She was bred in Kentucky by David Purvis.

Can the Man is a top-10 Second-Crop sire by winners, with 29 to date. He has the highest win percentage rate from starters (53%) of any sire in the top 10.
