Into Mischief 2yos popular at Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream sale

Into Mischief, one of the most prolific stallions in the breeding shed, was one of the most prized stallions at Wednesday’s Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Sale, with a pair of colts by the Spendthrift stallion bringing bids of $500,000.
Into Mischief had six lots sell for an average of $374,167, nearly $40,000 above the entire sale average.
The first half-million dollar colt was hip No. 25 consigned by Crupi’s New Castle Farm and purchased by China Horse Club in partnership with WinStar Farm. The colt’s dam Blue Devil Bel is a half-sister to stakes winner Akalina, the dam of Grade 2-placed Governor Malibu.
Eddie Woods consigned hip No. 97, who went to Live Oak Plantation for the same figure. He is the first foal out of Mamasan, a sister to two stakes winners and from the family of Grade 1 winner Richter Scale.
The one-day sale started off with Into Mischief’s hip No. 1 realizing a price of $450,000 from Breeze Easy LLC. The filly was consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds and is a full sister to millionaire and Louisiana Derby (G2) winner Vicar’s In Trouble.
