Into Mischief colt tops Day 1 of OBS April sale

April 19, 2016

Into Mischief had the highest priced lot during Day 1 of the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, a $335,000 colt consigned by Bridlewood Farm and purchased by Spendthrift Farm.

The Kentucky bred colt, hip No. 289, had breezed an eighth-mile in a rapid :10 seconds flat during the Under Tack Show last week. The bay juvenile is out of the stakes-winning mare Summer Song, who is a half-sister to the millionaire, Grade 1 winner Don’t Tell Sophia.

“Into Mischief stamps them very well and he was what you would be looking for in an Into Mischief,” Spendthrift General Manager Ned Toffey said of the colt.

Into Mischief has a total of 15 lots remaining in the four-day sale, which runs through April 22.
