Into Mischief filly blasts to Rising Stardom at Churchill

June 21, 2019

Frank’s Rockette ran off to a 8 ¾-length victory in a five-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-old fillies Friday at Churchill Downs to become the latest TDN Rising Star for her sire Into Mischief (VIDEO).

The winner is Into Mischief 10th Rising Star and his third this year alone, joining fellow maiden special weight winners Comical and Honest Mischief.

Breaking from post 6, Frank’s Rockette was four-wide early before mounting her challenge on the turn. Taking over the lead outside the quarter pole, she swiftly put several lengths on the field, and with Julien Leparoux looking back for the competition, she continued to widen until hitting the finish line in :57.27 on a fast main track.

Owned by her breeder Frank Fletcher, the bay filly is out of his Arlington-Washington Lassie S. (G3) winner Rocket Twentyone.
