Into Mystic captures KY Downs Ladies Preview Sprint

Into Mystic gave Into Mischief a stakes double on Sunday with her victory in the $100,000 Kentucky Downs Preview Ladies Sprint S. at Ellis Park, the first stake score for the 4-year-old filly.

Earlier in the day at Gulfstream Park, Cool Arrow easily prevailed in the Open Lead S. The duo upped Into Mischief’s 2020 stakes winners total to a remarkable 21, more than twice as many as any North American sire.

Into Mystic earned a career-best Beyer Speed Figure of 100 for Sunday’s 1 ½-length win. She had placed in the Bold Ego S. in January and was a close fourth in the Monrovia S. (G2) in late May, her most recent start. Sunday’s win upped her record to 4-1-2 in 11 starts, with earnings of $188,023 for George Coleman and Brad King.

Into Mystic was bred by Runnymede Farm and Catesby W. Clay Investment 2 LLC. She is the second foal out of Loveofalifetime, who has two graded stakes winning siblings and is from the extended family of multiple Grade 1 winner Ogygian.
