Jaywalk, Cross Traffic’s 2-year-old filly champion of 2018, drew post seven in the 14-horse field of 3-year-old fillies set to contest the May 3rd Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs.

The gray/roan Jaywalk tuned up for the Oaks with a bullet five-furlong move of :59 1/5 at Keeneland on April 25. She’ll be ridden by Javier Castellano, who was aboard last time out in her gallant third-place effort in the Ashland S. (G1).

After completing her championship season that included 5-plus length wins in both the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) – when she also broke from post 7 – at Churchill Downs and Belmont Park’s Frizette S. (G1), the $1.25 million Oaks will be Jaywalk’s third start after a three-month winter freshening.

Trained by John Servis for D J Stable LLC and Cash Is King Stable LLC, Jaywalk has earned $1,444,000 to date. Her stellar 2018 campaign helped propel Cross Traffic to #1 on the 2018 First-Crop Sire list by progeny earnings, Grade 1 winners, black type winners and black type horses.

The Oaks will be race 11 on Friday, with a post time of 6:12 p.m. ET.
