Lone Star stakes double for Into Mischief

Little Menace and Hunka Burning Love both racked up stakes wins on the Sunday evening card at Lone Star Park, with Little Menace getting his first stakes win in the $75,000 Grand Prairie Derby and Hunka Burning Love getting his fourth straight win in the $75,000 Lone Star Park Mile.
The two sons of Into Mischief upped their sire’s 2020 stakes winners total to 17, more than twice as many as any sire standing in North America.
Little Menace, who was making his two-turn debut, set all the pace in the 1 1/16-mile Derby, with Sir Rick in hot pursuit throughout. The duo were side-by-side in upper stretch, but Little Menace drew off late to win by 3 ¼-lengths in 1:44.29 on a fast track.
Owned by Phoenix Thoroughbreds III, Little Menace has won three of six starts and earned $191,511. Little Menace was bred by Gabriel Duignan, Crosshaven Bloodstock, Petaluma Bloodstock & Hazelmere Bloodstock. He is out of Pay Attention, who foaled a full sister to Little Menace this year.
Hunka Burning Love bested Sleep Eyes Todd by a head after stalking the leader for most of the trip. He covered the distance in 1:36.32.
Hunka Burning Love is owned by End Zone Athletics and was bred in Kentucky by Morris Floyd and Chuck Givens. His career earnings stand at $351, 501.
