Mia Mischief registered arguably the most impressive 2-year-old maiden win of the year on Sunday at Keeneland when the Into Mischief filly rolled to a 16 1/4-length victory going six furlongs on the sloppy main track.

Trained by Steve Asmussen for Bill and Corinne Heiligbrodt, Mia Mischief was second to the very good Princess Warrior in her debut last month at Churchill Downs. Opening up in front on Sunday, Mia Mischief was a measured length in front for the first half-mile, then suddenly opened up in the stretch and left her competition floundering as she completed the distance in a stellar 1:09.98 despite being eased up late (VIDEO).

The winner was bred by Spendthrift Farm from the Speightstown mare Greer Lynn, a sibling to graded stakes winners Sing Baby Sing and Roll Hennessey Roll, as well as multiple Grade 1-placed Value Plus.
