Mor Spirit colt much the best in maiden special weight win

Mor Spirit tallied his 13th First-Crop winner Tuesday afternoon at Horseshoe Indianapolis when Scooteranddabigman scampered to a 3 ¼-length maiden special weight win going 5 ½-furlongs.
The dark bay was in front nearly the entire trip, getting the lead shortly after the start and increasing his margin the rest of the way to win with something in reserve as he navigated the sloppy going with ease.
Scooteranddabigman races for his breeder Spooky Hollow Racing Inc. and hails from the family of Kentucky Cup Classic H. (G2) winner Da Devil.
Mor Spirit, who bred 134 mares this past season, will stand for $5,000 live foal for 2023.
