Tuesday was another banner day in the sales ring for Into Mischief when a filly by the Spendthrift stallion brought a winning bid of $375,000 during the second day of the May 22-23 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale.

Pike Racing consigned the filly, hip No. 465, while Mike Ryan, agent was the winning bidder for the gray or roan juvenile.

“Into Mischief is an incredible sire,” Ryan gushed. “I picked out [MGISW] Practical Joke for Chad Brown and Mr. [Seth] Klaraman [of Klaravich Stables]. It is just amazing what he has done from a nominal stud fee. The one thing that impresses me about them is the fire in their bellies. They all run and they all run hard.

“I knew this filly was going to cost because the two [Into Mischiefs Monday] were very nice and they both [went for] $425,000,” Ryan added.

Ryan’s latest purchase is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner and sire Run Away and Hide, out of the Runaway Groom mare Jilted.

Into Mischief closed the Midlantic auction with six lots sold for an average of $273,667.
