My Miss Chiff takes Happy Ticket S.

November 18, 2017

My Miss Chiff became Into Mischief’s 17th stakes winner of 2017 on Saturday when she won the $50,000 Happy Ticket S. on opening day of the Fair Grounds meet.

The 3-year-old old filly, who had been off since finishing third in the Miss Preakness S. (G3) this May, engaged the leader Look Into My Eyes at the top of the stretch, then went on to win the six-furlong contest by 1 1/4-lengths in 1:10.86 on a fast main track.

“She broke really sharp and had a pretty good trip the whole way around,” winning jockey Mitchell Murrill said. “Going into the turn, we had a little mix-up going into it, but we overcame it and she turned for home and did her thing like she always does. I didn’t have to push her too much down the lane and had a little horse left in the tank.”

Owned by Town and Country Racing, My Miss Chiff is now 3-0-1 in five starts and has banked $99,660. Her dam Carl’s Frosty Girl was a two-time stakes winner at Fair Grounds and earned over $320,000.
