Omaha Beach, currently the leading Fourth-Crop sire of 2026 in several categories, is also lighting up the board at this week’s OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, posting an average sale price of $646,250 through the first three days of the auction.

The highlights for the Spendthrift stallion started early in the sale when hip No. 74, a filly consigned by Tom McCrocklin, agent, went to Spendthrift Farm LLC for $900,000. The price was ultimately the top figure paid for a filly on the day.

Bred by WinStar Farm, LLC, the dark bay filly is out of Ready for Charm, who is a half-sister to four stakes horses, as well as the dam of Ashland S. (G1) winner and Kentucky Oaks (G1) hopeful Percy’s Bar.

“She’s a big, impressive filly,” said Spendthrift general manager Ned Toffey. “I thought the way she breezed, she did it pretty effortlessly and handled everything really well. Good mind on her and a big, strong, classy filly. We’ve had our share of run-ins with Percy’s Bar. It’s a wonderful pedigree.”

Early in Thursday’s session, Omaha Beach struck with hip No. 623, which sold to Sabby Racing LLC for $825,000. Consigned by Hoppel LLC, agent, the dark bay filly is closely related to Grade 1 winner Bob and John and Gazelle S. (G3) winner Nostalgic.

Wednesday’s highlight for Omaha Beach was consigned by Harris Training Center LLC, agent and went to Alex and JoAnn Lieblong for $650,000. Catalogued as hip No. 437, the chestnut filly’s second dam is a half-sister to the incomparable Singspiel, as well as noted sire Rahy and graded stakes winner Rakeen.

The OBS sale concludes on Friday, with Omaha Beach having two lots scheduled to sell during the session.
