Bolt d’Oro had the second-highest priced filly of the day during Wednesday’s session of the OBS March 2-year-olds in Training sale when hip No. 405 brought a winning bid of $600,000.

Consigned by Brandon and Ali Rice’s Ricehorse Stable for breeder Machmer Hall, the dark bay filly went to AMO Racing USA LLC.

The Kentucky-bred filly is the second foal out of the stakes-placed Orquidias Biz. This is the family of Grade 1 winners Affirmed Success, Exbourne and Expelled.

Bolt d’Oro, the champion First-Crop sire of 2022, is currently in the top five in several categories on the 2025 Fourth-Crop Sire list. He is standing this year for $15,000 live foal.
