Drexel Hill, runner-up in last year’s Kentucky Oaks (G1) and winner of the Busher S., started her 2026 campaign in style Jan. 10 at Tampa Bay Downs, winning the $125,000 Wayward Lass S. in convincing fashion.

The daughter of Bolt d’Oro, now 4, also placed second in the Mother Goose S. (G2) in early November, her most recent start prior to Saturday.

Allowed to settle out of the gate, Drexel Hill raced on the outside clear of trouble around the first turn. She moved from fifth to third on the backstretch, then steadily advanced around the final turn as well, taking command turning for home. She put away Runaway Diva in mid-stretch and went on to win by 1 ¾-lengths in 1:43.96 on a fast track.

Trained by Whit Beckman for Legion Racing, Drexel Hill is 3-4-1 in 10 starts and has earned $576,520. The dark bay filly was bred in Kentucky by Tuscany Bloodstock.

A top-three Fourth-Crop sire and top-20 General Sire in 2025, Bolt d’Oro’s 2026 fee is $25,000 live foal.
