Bolt d’Oro filly leads the way in the $150,000 Christiana S.

Thirty Thou Kelvin took the lead a half-mile into Saturday’s Christiana S. at Delaware Park and never looked back as she came home a 2 ¼-length winner to become the sixth stakes winner of the year for Bolt d’Oro.
With 15 stakes horses, 46 individual and 58 races won, Bolt d’Oro leads the Second-Crop Sire list in all three categories.
Thirty Thou Kelvin, who was stakes-placed in the Bourbonette Oaks at Turfway Park in March, found the soft going on the Delaware turf to her liking. After tracking Gatita Suave for three furlongs, she made her move for the lead on the backstretch. She steadily increased her margin from there and was never seriously threatened in the lane as she completed the nine furlongs in 1:53.12.
Owned by SJB Stable, 3-year-old Thirty Thou Kelvin is 3-0-2 in 10 starts and has earned $237,640. She was bred in Kentucky by Horseshoe Racing LLC and sold for $110,000 at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling sale.
