Bolt d’Oro’s Generous Lover repeats in Vivacious S.
July 19, 2025
Generous Lover chalked up her fourth career stakes win on July 18 at Belterra Park with an easy win in the $75,000 Vivacious S., a race the 5-year-old also won in 2024.
The daughter of Bolt d’Oro made quite a splash on the upper Midwest circuit last year when she won the Best of Ohio Distaff by a gaudy 26 ¾-lengths and the Pay the Man S. by over a dozen lengths.
Generous Lover broke quickest before My Girl Kew sprinted up and took the lead going into the first turn. Generous Lover, ridden confidently by Luis Rivera, sat behind the pacesetter until going by the pacesetter midway on the final turn. Under a hand ride the rest of the way, she coasted under the wire in 1:46.37 on the fast main track.
Generous Lover is now a very solid 7-3-2 in 16 starts, with $403,470 in earnings for Carl R. Moore Management LLC. She was bred by Smokin C, LLC.
With $5.6 million in progeny earnings, five stakes winners and 13 stakes horses in 2025, Bolt d’Oro is currently third on this year’s Fourth-Crop Sire list and in the top 20 among all U.S. sires.
