Chancer McPatrick gets TDN ‘Value Sire’ nod for first year at stud
January 3, 2026
Multiple Grade 1 winner Chancer McPatrick, who is new to the Spendthrift Farm stallion roster for 2026, was named a Silver ‘Value Sire’ by the TDN in its annual new stallion analysis.
Chancer McPatrick won both the Hopeful S. (G1) and Champagne S. (G1) at two and stretched out to win the nine-furlong Curlin S. at three. He finished his career with a gallant third in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1).
The TDN states that [Chancer McPatrick is] all business, in every sense: a really purposeful way of going at the walk, and a blatant commercial profile.
Chancer McPatrick, who is the lone new stallion at Spendthrift, is standing for $25,000 S&N.
