Freedom’s Not Free a handy winner of the Cinema S.

Omaha Beach’s 3-year-old colt Freedom’s Not Free tallied his second straight stakes win Sunday at Santa Anita Park with his victory in the $100,000 Cinema S.
The dark bay colt won the Pasadena S. over the same turf course two months ago, and is now 3-0-2 in six starts and has earned $178,080.
In what was almost a carbon copy of the trip he got in the Pasadena, Freedom’s Not Free broke well and settled into second as he tracked Incanto through the first six furlongs. When called upon nearing the stretch, he pushed past the pacesetter, then drew off in the final sixteenth to win by 1 ¼-lengths in 1:34.74 for the mile on the firm turf.
“He’s very professional and very straightforward,” said winning rider Antonio Fresu. When I asked him at the quarter pole, he went for it. He hit the front and did what he to do, then on the gallop-out I couldn’t stop him.”
Freedom’s Not Free is owned by Blinkers On Racing Stable, Janlois Racing, LLC, Valinor Racing Stable, LLC, Tom Corbett, Andy Kwan, and Jay Lester Wagner and sold to his owners for $300,000 at the 2024 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-old sale. He was bred in Kentucky by Cove Springs, LLC.
Freedom’s Not Free is one of five stakes winners this year for Omaha Beach, who has a commanding lead on this year’s Third-Crop Sire list.
