August 11, 2026

Into Mischief had the second-highest priced individual during Monday evening’s opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling sale when hip No. 91 hammered for $2.3 million.
Consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa, agent for breeder Don Alberto Corporation, the striking gray/roan sold to Hunter Rankin, who was bidding on behalf of Flying Dutchmen.
“He’s out of a great mare,” Rankin said of the yearling. “They breed great horses over there and it’s fun to buy horses off them. He was a really nice horse. We are just really excited to get him.”
The yearling is the second foal out of multiple graded-placed Stellar Sound, a half-sister to stakes winner Smart As Me and Grade One-placed ‘TDN Rising Star’ Luminance. His third dam Versailles Treaty was a three-time Grade 1 winner and is the dam of Breeders’ Cup winner George Vancouver and multiple graded winner Saarland.
