July 29, 2019

Top-five First-Crop sire Race Day tallied his fourth winner on July 28 when Lil Miss Hot Mess prevailed by a neck going seven furlongs in a three-way photo for the win (VIDEO).

Race Day, who got his first stakes winner on July 14 when Gee She Sparkles took the $100,000 Texas Thoroughbred Futurity, has four maiden special weight winners over four different tracks from five to seven furlongs.

Lil Miss Hot Mess sat in fourth for the first half-mile before launching her three-wide bid entering the stretch, then ran down a game Don’t Mine Me to get up in the final strides.

The winner is owned by Twisted Chaps Racing Stables et al and was bred in Kentucky by Ruddles Mill Bloodstock. Her dam She’saflashymiss, who is a sister to seven-time stakes winner Ju Jitsu Jax, has a weanling colt by Goldencents and was bred to Gormley in 2019.
