Maximus Mischief sophomore gets third career stakes win
August 18, 2026
Mailata gave up the lead at the top of the stretch in Tuesday’s PTHA President’s Sprint S. at Parx then stormed back in the final furlong to give the 3-year-old son of Maximus Mischief his third career stakes win.
Maximus Mischief is in the top five on the Fourth-Crop sire list by stakes winners, stakes horses and progeny earnings.
Mialata broke on top in the 6 1/2-furlong contest with a quartet of horses just behind him. He opened up a two-length lead going into the turn, then yielded to Unwritten Rule just before turning for home. With great determination, he battled back and took over inside the final sixteenth to win by 2 ¼-lengths.
Mailata, who won Parx’s Future Stars S. by a gaudy 19 lengths last December, is now 4-0-1 in eight starts and has earned $210,900. He is owned by LC Racing LLC and Wellesley Stable and was bred by LC and Cash Is King LLC.
