Maximus Mischief’s Glengarry rolls to fifth career stakes win
July 6, 2025
Glengarry led at every point of call en route to a 1 ½-length victory in the $100,000 Iowa Sprint S. at Prairie Meadows.
The 4-year-old son of Maximus Mischief, who has finished first or second in all five of his starts this year, won the Ed Skinner S. last month at Prairie Meadows.
Glengarry sprang right to the front from the start of Saturday’s six-furlong race, zipping through a quarter-mile in :22.06. At the top of the stretch, Raymond made a big bid, but Glengarry repelled him and shook clear again to finish in 1:09.09 on a fast track.
Glengarry, owned by Aaron Kennedy, Toby Joseph, and Doug Anderson, has a lifetime record of 6-5-0 in 12 starts and has earned $637,391. He also has stakes wins in the 2024 Lafayette S. at Keeneland, the 2023 Bowman’s Mill S., also at Keeneland, and the 2023 Iowa Cradle S. in his added-money debut.
Glengarry was bred by Highpoint Bloodstock. The gray/roan colt is one of eight stakes winners this year for Maximus Mischief, currently second on the Third-Crop Sire list.
