Neom Beach rolls by six lengths in $200,000 Ouija Board Distaff

May 26, 2025

Neom Beach earned her first stakes win Memorial Day at Lone Star Park when the 4-year-old Omaha Beach filly tallied a six-length victory in the $200,000 Ouija Board Distaff S. [WATCH RACE].

With steady rains in the Dallas area on Monday, the Ouija Board was moved from the turf to the main track and went postward with five fillies and mares. Neom Beach sat a couple of lengths off the early fractions set by Flame McGoon, who continued to lead around the far turn through six furlongs in 1:13.56.

Neom Beach came off the fence and was carried wide into the stretch before easily going by the pacesetter and drawing off impressively over the very sloppy going.

Neom Beach is owned by her Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen. With a quartet of stakes placings prior to Monday’s breakthrough win, Neom Beach is now 4-2-3 in 17 starts and has earned $594,240.

Neom Beach was bred in Kentucky by Tami Bobo.

Omaha Beach, the leading Third-Crop sire of 2025, now has six stakes winners this year, topped by Kopion, winner of the Derby City Distaff S. (G1).
