Scarlet Sands and Mondogetsbuckets both scored their first stakes wins over the past weekend for Omaha Beach, bringing his total number of black type winners up to 12 for the year.

Omaha Beach is the leading Third-Crop sire list by nearly every metric and is tied for second by stakes winners on the General Sire list.

Scarlet Sands was making her stakes debut in Saturday’s 1 mile and 70-yard contest for 3-year-old fillies. After a very good start, she shot to the front and dictated the pace for the entire trip. She was never seriously threatened until the final sixteenth, when Crafty Collector mounted a late charge to fall short by a neck.

Scarlet Sands, owned by Raliegh Racing Stable LLC, is 3-0-1 in eight starts. The bay filly was bred in Kentucky by Mill Ridge Farm et al and is a half-sister to a pair of stakes winners, while dam Scarlet Love has five graded stakes-winning siblings.

Sunday at Hawthorne Omaha’s Beach’s Mondogetsbuckets picked up his first stakes win in the $100,000 Robert S. Molaro Memorial S., winning the 5 ½-furlong race by a head over Uncashed.

The 4-year-old bay is owned and bred by Town & Country Racing LLC.
