Race Day filly roars to Grade 2 victory

September 16, 2019

Consultora came from last to first in the Sept. 15 Clasico Ramon LLobet Jr. S. (G2) at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico in the first stakes start for the 2-year-old Race Day filly.

The gray/roan juvenile is the third overall stakes winner for her sire; his nine individual winners ranks in the top 10 on the First-Crop Sire list.

Consultora was in no hurry early as Royal Speed opened up by double digits in the first half-mile. Consultora cut into that lead quickly entering the stretch, rolling by the tiring front-runner crossing the wire a 5 ¼-length winner in the 6 ½-furlong contest.

Consultora was bred by Eduardo Maldonado and is owned by Sonata Stable.
