Regally-bred Into Mischief colt named TDN ‘Rising Star’ after debut Saratoga win
July 11, 2025

Dr. Agne, a son of champion Lady Eli by six-time champion sire Into Mischief, lived up to lofty expectations in his debut on July 11 at Saratoga, winning a seven-furlong “off the turf” maiden special weight affair with an impressive stretch run.
The 2-year-old colt was named a TDN ‘Rising Star’ after the come-from-behind win, the 52nd such horse for Into Mischief.
Dr. Agne recovered from a less than ideal start to settle nicely as Jet Off set the early fractions. Dr. Agne started his run with three furlongs to go, gaining along the inside, then with a little over a furlong to go, switched to the outside and ran past the pacesetters to win handily over the late-charging Epic Desire.
The winner, who is owned Madaket Stables LLC, Twin Brook Stables and Belladonna Racing LLC, was bred by Hill ‘n’ Dale Equine Holdings. Lady Eli, who was champion turf female in 2017, won six Grade 1’s over her illustrious career and sold to Hill ‘n’ Dale for $4.2 million at the 2018 Keeneland November sale.
