April 15, 2025

A pair of 2-year-olds from the first crop of By My Standards surpassed the $100,000 mark during Tuesday’s opening session of the OBS April sale, with hip No. 46, the first offering by his sire, bringing $170,000.
Consigned by Triple C. Sales, agent, the colt went to West Point Thoroughbreds.
The bay juvenile, who had worked a furlong in a lively :10 1/5 seconds, hails from the family of multiple Grade 1 winner General Quarters, as well as track record-setter and Grade 2 winner Unitarian.
By My Standards, who amassed over $2.2 million in purses, is the second-leading earner all-time by Spendthrift stallion Goldencents. Currently midway through the 2-year-old sales season, By My Standards’ juveniles are averaging 10 times their bred-on stud fee.
