Tennessee Belle waltzes in ‘TDN Rising Star’ dazzler

Tennessee Belle gave Yaupon his fifth winner of the week on Aug. 16 when the 2-year-old filly romped to a 7 ¼-length maiden special weight win at Saratoga.
The dark bay filly was named a ‘TDN Rising Star’ following the superlative effort. Caught up in a three-way duel in the early stages, Tennessee Belle shook off her foes at the top of the stretch and widened her margin with every stride as she galloped under the wire in 1:10.74 on the fast main track.
Tennessee Belle, who was second behind another TDN Rising Star, Tammy Jo (Into Mischief) in her debut, is owned by Boyd Racing LLC and was bred by Breeze Easy, LLC. Tennessee Belle is out of millionaire and two-time Grade 1 winner Belle Gallantey.
Yaupon now leads the 2025 First-Crop sire list with 13 individual winners and a pair of stakes winners.
