The Queens M G romps in Saratoga’s Adirondack (G3), becomes first GSW for Thousand Words

Freshman Sire Thousand Words was represented by his first Graded Stakes winner when The Queens M G blew the field away by 9 lengths in the Grade 3 Adirondack on August 4th at Saratoga.
The Queens M G became her sire’s very first winner when she won her debut in a Keeneland Maiden Special Weight in April. She went on to winner the Schuylerville Stakes at Saratoga in July for her first stakes victory. She now has four starts, with 3 wins and $254,380 in earnings.
Bred in Kentucky by T.F. VanMeter, Samuel Hernandez, Jesus Torres, and Justin Vinalay. She is out of the Grindstone mare Show Queen. Sold as a yearling at the 2023 Fasig Tipton October Yearling Sale for $3,500 to Rigoberto Acevedo, and now owned by C Two Racing Stable and Mathis Stable LLC for trainer Safe Joseph Jr..
The Queens M G, piloted by jockey Dylan Davis, was urged out of the gate and sat just off the pace, going 4 wide. Swinging wide off of the turn and into the stretch, she pushed forward and was ridden to the wire, finishing 9 lengths in front. She ran the 6 1/2 furlong race in a time of 1:17.83.
Sire Thousand Words now sits as the #2 Freshman Sire, with 10 total winners, 2 Black-Type winners, and his top money earner The Queens M G as his first Graded Stakes winner.
