Into Mischief’s $600,000 colt, hip No. 479, at the 2018 Keeneland September Yearling sale

Into Mischief’s strong Keeneland September Yearling sales results continued on Tuesday with nine lots selling for six figures, including a pair of youngsters bringing final bids of $600,000.

Hinkle Farms consigned hip No. 479, a colt that went to SF Bloodstock and Starlight West. The bay is out of the stakes-placed Afleet Alex mare Sweet Tess, who is from the same family as champion distaffer Relaxing, the dam of Easy Goer.

Into Mischief’s other $600,000 purchase was the final lot of the day, hip No. 495. Consigned by Beau Lane Bloodstock and signed for by Bridlewood Farm, the filly’s deep female family includes her fourth dam Cheval Volant, a multiple Grade 1 winner at 2.

Earlier in the session, a colt consigned by Four Star Sales, hip No. 386, went to White Birch Farm for $500,000. Another with a superb female line, the bay juvenile dam Secret Jewel is a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) winner and millionaire Shared Account.

Through the first two days of the Sept. 10-23 auction, Into Mischief has had 14 lots sell for an average of $376,786.
