Practical Joke and Vyjack Into Mischief’s Breeders’ Cup entries

October 26, 2016

Into Mischief, sire of two-time Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Goldencents, will be represented by Practical Joke and Vyjack in this year’s Breeders’ Cup on Nov. 4-5 at Santa Anita Park.

Practical Joke, who is pre-entered in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1), the 8th race on Nov. 5, is a two-time Grade 1 winner of the Hopeful S. and Champagne S. The undefeated colt is three-for-three with earnings of $559,800 for Klaravich Stables and William H. Lawrence. The Juvenile drew 12 pre-entries.

Pick Six Racing’s Vyjack was cross-entered in the Mile (G1), his first preference, and the Dirt Mile (G1). Should Vyjack not make the field for the Mile, which drew 23 entrants and runs a maximum of 14, he would get into the Dirt Mile on Friday, Nov. 4. The Dirt Mile drew 11 entrants.

Vyjack is equally adept on turf or dirt, with graded stakes wins on both surfaces, and earnings of over $1.3 million.

Official post positions for the Breeders’ Cup will be drawn on Oct. 31.
