Malibu Moon got his third stakes winner in the final three days of November when Privet Moon scored a front-running victory in the $100,000 Jean Lafitte S. Nov. 30 at Delta Downs.

The 2-year-old Juddmonte Farms Inc. homebred colt has now two of three starts, with one second, and has earned $84,800.

Privet Moon’s win comes just two days after Malibu Moon’s 4-year-old filly Eres Tu won the Thirty Eight Go Go S. at Laurel Park and Pioneer Spirit captured the Delta Mile S., also at Delta Downs.

Privet Moon took the lead just a few jumps out of the gate in the seven-furlong race, with Drewhustle his closest pursuer through the first five furlongs. Awesome Gerry made a run for the lead in the stretch, but Privet Moon held him off to win by a length (VIDEO).

Privet Moon is the second foal out of the French stakes Privet Hedge, who has a weanling colt by Into Mischief.
