Friday’s final session of the OBS Under Tack show produced the second juvenile of the week by Omaha Beach to break the 10-second barrier.

Coming from the consignment of Wavertree Stables, Inc., agent, hip No. 752 stopped the timer in :09 4/5 seconds.

The bay filly is out three-time stakes winner Pacific Heat, whose lone foal to race is a winner. Pacific Heat’s dam Hotlantic is also a multiple stakes winner and the dam of yet another two-time stakes winner in Long Hot Summer.

Omaha Beach’s first worker to go :09 4/5 was hip No. 161, a colt consigned by Eddie Woods, agent. The gray colt is his dam Two Sugars’ first foal. Two Sugars is a half-sister to Sham S. (G3) winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Calculator.

Omaha Beach, a three-time Grade 1 winner, entered stud at Spendthrift in 2020 and has covered a total of 635 mares in his first three seasons. He has nine individuals in the OBS March 2-year-old sale, which begins its three-day run Monday morning.
