Shakin It Up colt makes it two black type wins

October 1, 2018

B. B. Dude came from off the pace in Sunday’s $75,000 Kip Deville S. at Remington Park to win the six-furlong contest by a neck over Fast Breakin Cash (VIDEO).

The 2-year-old son of Shakin It Up has won two straight stakes races, and three of four overall, with earnings of $108,819 for owner Jerry Durant.

Though he won the Manzano S. last month in front-running style, he settled behind the leaders in the Kip Deville, then swung three-wide into the stretch to commence his rally and eventually wear down Fast Breakin Cash to secure the win.

B. B. Dude is out of Purrfect Song, a half-sister to Hollywood Oaks (G2) winner Santa Catarina. The nearly black colt was bred by Sally Thomas and New Dawn Stable and sold for $105,000 at the 2017 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearling sale.
