Tirupati, by Mitole, wins the Grade 3 Wilshire Stakes at Santa Anita Park on March 29th, 2025 for her first graded stakes victory.

Foaled April 17, 2021 at Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, the flashy Tirupati is by the 2019 Champion Sprinter Mitole and is the first foal out of the Street Sense mare Nora’s Joy. Tirupati was first sold as a yearling in the Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $90,000 then was later sold at the Fasig-Tipton Midatlantic 2-Year-Old Sale to now trainer Jonathan Thomas who acted as an agent for owner Augustin Stables.

Tirupati broke well under jockey Umberto Rispoli and set the pace from the inside. She fended off every rival before holding her own at the wire to win by 1 length, running the one mile on the turf in a time of 1:34.61. She is now under consideration for the G1 Gamely Stakes on May 26th.
