Taraz’s sublime 7 ½-length maiden special weight win Nov. 14 at Churchill Downs in the 2-year-old filly’s debut made her the 200th winner this year for Into Mischief, who becomes the first sire ever in North America to reach 200 in a single year.

The bay filly was also the seventh TDN Rising Star (6th 2-year-old Rising Star) this year for Into Mischief’s, who is the nation’s leading sire with $16.7 million in progeny earnings to date.

Taraz chased in second for the first half-mile before assuming command at the top of the stretch of the 6 ½-furlong contest, then drew away with complete authority, winning under wraps.

Taraz, a Juddmonte Farms homebred, is out of Silk Route, who has an Into Mischief yearling as well.
