Wicked Runner much the best in G2 Angel Cordero stakes

Wicked Runner upped his record to a perfect 3-for-3 with a four-length victory in the Angel T. Cordero Jr. stakes (G2) Nov. 3 at Camarero Racetrack.

The 2-year-old Wicked Strong colt debuted with a Grade 3 stakes win on Sept. 1 and picked up an eight-length allowance on Sept. 29.

Running very comfortably from just off the pace, Wicked Runner moved for the lead at the top of the stretch and quickly drew clear to win going away in 1:23.67 for the 1,400 meters (about seven furlongs).

Wicked Runner is owned by Sonata Stable and was bred in Kentucky by George Bates, Trustee.
